This is not for Tom necessarily, but it would be really useful to have some sort of anonymous forum to discuss issues related to the Board. The Facebook group is truly awful and dominated by a few radical reactionaries. I appreciate how the comments on Tom's posts have generally been civil.
Here is a link to an anonymous D65 discussion board that requires no registration to post and comment. We have used the platform for clients to get anonymous feedback. Maybe it can take the place of Tom's substack once it goes away:
Managing the comment section was the hardest part. There's a lot of stuff I deleted or people I yelled at in order to keep it civil. This is one of the reasons I don't like substack - they never really did anything to improve the tools for this. I do think that both Evanston Now and Evanston Roundtable have a hard time with this too.
